This is normal. From the doc: "The “Delaunay” algorithm is currently the most robust and is the only one that supports embedded model entities, the Field mechanism to specify element sizes (see Specifying mesh element sizes) and the automatic generation of hybrid meshes with pyramids."
HXT will eventually support these features, but there's no timeline for this yet.
