[Gmsh] 3D Anisotropic Mesh (MMG3D) from .pos file?

Hello GMSH users and developers,

I was wondering if it is possible to generate an anisotropic mesh in 3D
using MMG3D and a background mesh file? If not, is the only currently
supported method MathEvalAniso?
