[Gmsh] How can i use gmsh as library?

Hey everyone.

I would like to compute the curvature for a triangular mesh. As a result I want to generate a list of all vertices with its curvature values. I read that this is possible with gmsh. Unfortunately, it did not work out to build gmsh as library. I simply didn't know how to proceed. Could someone explain it to me? I'm using linux.
