[Gmsh] Structured mesh of a STEP part

Hello everyone,

I need to mesh a part from a STEP file using a structured mesh, as the
the one attached. 

Does anyone have an example or a tutorial of how to do this?

Do I have to set the transfinite line for each line of the part and be 
sure that the numer of element by segment is correct, or there is an 
easier way to do so?

Just for information, the mesh in image has been created by using 
Hypermesh, but it should be possible to obtain a similar result by using
gmsh.
