[Gmsh] Unexpected .msh file element renumbering with Mesh.ElementOrder=2 in ~/.gmsh-options

Hi everyone,
When I set
Mesh.ElementOrder = 2;
in ~/.gmsh-options, and load a .msh file,
displaying `element labels' or `node labels' results
in the displayed numbers changing with each
reload. Under no cases do the line labels or
node labels agree with those in the .msh file
(which was created with Mesh.ElementOrder=2;).
Setting:
Mesh.ElementOrder=1;
in ~/.gmsh-options results in the displayed node
and line labels matching those in the .msh file.
Is this expected behaviour? I find it confusing!
Best regards,
Mark.
