Dear Prof. Geuzaine,
in the past, I used gmsh to great success to mesh the warped internal facets of Voronoi-diagram-based representative volume elements. Currently, I am faced with a similar task: the creation of geometry of and mesh of a cylindrical sample consisting of spherical particulates embedded in a matrix. Since the cylindrical samples are cut from blocks, the intersections of the spherical particulates and the cylindrical surface of the samples have to be determined. Is there any way to do this in the geometry module of gmsh or has an external CAD program to be used?
Thanks in advance for your efforts. In addition, I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your colleagues for making gmsh available for public use.
Best regards
Sascha Knell
