[Gmsh] gmsh errors when using frontal algorithm, or using optimize / optimize_netgen

I have an STL file in a box of dimensions 1.4x1.4x1.4. When i try and create
a mesh using frontal, I get a segmentation fault. When I try another
algorithm with optimize or optimize_netgen, I get
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what():
std::bad_alloc Aborted
Any ideas on what I should do?
