Indeed, that would be nice.

Meanwhile, one can recover from most missteps by editing the .geo file
in which Gmsh records almost all the graphical interactions; it's
called "untitled.geo" unless you start gmsh reading something else.

Most created entities can be deleted too, though that leaves an
unsightly record in the .geo file.
