[Gmsh] Creating field on a shell element group

Dear GMSHers,

I am sorry, I also would like to know if one can create a scalar field with
a user-defined value to be assigned to all elements, for instance to assign
an initial thickness to a set of shell elements.

These data would then be saved in MED format.
