Hi Dmitrijs, thanks for the fast reply.

I'm using Ubuntu Heron (64, obviously).  I just tried the installation
of gmsh from the repos I've specified, and 2.0.8 was installed.  Is this
what you would expect?

Thanks for spending your time fixing the Ubuntu package, by the way.
I'm constantly amazed by how well supported Ubuntu is!
