I'm definitely interested in high volume/high bandwidth communication
between the client and server and that means binary data. So yes, I
agree the protocol method is more desirable. It won't be a big deal
to write a generic wrapper that pipes a .geo or .msh file to gmsh
through a socket (your demo does that already pretty much).
