I had sent a message a week or so ago informing you that I had problems
with gmsh.
>From my log (/var/log/messages) I see that I have
CPU: Intel Pentium III (Katmai) stepping 03
The cpu runs at 500 MHz.
I am running Linux 6.1
my /usr/lib/libglib is version: libglib.so.1.0.6
In /usr/lib I have the following files that match *++*
libg++.so.2.7.2 libstdc++.so.2.7.2
libg++.so.2.7.2.8 libstdc++.so.2.7.2.8
libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.a libstdc++.so.2.8
libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.so libstdc++.so.2.8.0
libstdc++-libc6.1-1.a.2 libstdc++.so.2.9
libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 libstdc++.so.2.9.dummy
I seem to have solved the problem by uninstalling the
"mesa" library. gmsh now works although I do not understand
why. (installation after removing mesa was done by copying the
binary from the tar version, installing the rpm fails due
to missing dependency)
For me there is currently no problem as I had indicated in
an earlier message.
If you want more information in order to clarify what my problem
was I will be happy to send any.
The error was not on just one computer, we have a more or less
identical set of 5 Linux computers which had the same behaviour.
greetings, our users are happy with gmsh.
