No, this the first time I see this kind of message.

* Which version of Gmsh did you try to install? (For Linux, I strongly
recommend the latest release (1.16), since it gets rid of many problems
caused by Motif/Lesstif).
* Which Linux distribution are you using ? And, more importantly, what
are the versions of glibc and of the C++ libraries installed on your
system?
