where the intersections come from and why MeshLab doesn’t find them I don’t know. But at least you can see where they are.</span></p>

I have an STL model that I created in MeshLAB. MeshLAB can't find any self-intersecting faces in the 2D surface.<br>
I then Merge the STL file into a GEO file and try to create a 3D mesh by selecting the surface and adding a volume.<br>
However, the 3D meshing algorithm complains about self-intersecting faces. These must be somewhere in the interior of the body, right? So, what can I do to solve this problem?<br>
Attached are my STL and GEO files.<br>
