<div>Dear all,</div>
<div><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size:12pt;"> </span></font></div>
<div>I have an STL file with 34000 vertices /68000 elements (triangles) surface mesh. I can easily import it into gmsh and add a volume. But</div>
<div>1) I did not find a possibility to remesh the surface to a coarser resolution.</div>
<div>2) I tried to 3D-mesh it, but I either got error-messages about redundant edges, or, after using “coherence;” statement in the STL file, got a crash of gmsh.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>What can be the reason for that?</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best regards</div>
<div>Uwe</div>
