I started using GMSH and I have a few more questions:<br>

1. Does GMSH has some sort of forum, where I can ask other gmsh users
questions?<br>

I think you are at the right place for asking questions! <span

2. How is the GMSH geometry files built? As I undestand it is a
variation of BREP when you have splines & B-splines surves and
surfaces.<br>

See the reference manual for a description of the .geo format.<br>

3. What changes should I do to GMSHs source code, so that when I mesh a
surface, the elements will also show to which surface or line it
belongs to ( I want to use surface meshing together with an exact
parametrization like spline surfaces).<br>

The .msh file gives you a list of nodes and a list of elements related
or not to a physical region. For further details, again, see the
description of the format in the reference manual.<br>
All the information you need is there. It shouldn't be difficult to get
what you need.<br>
