I got an error: GUI.cpp:462: error: 'screen_xywh' is not a member
of 'Fl'.</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">The version of fltk I am using is 1.1.6.
What really puzzles me is that, I have no problem compiling gmsh
released prior to gmsh-2.0.8-nightly-20070529. I will think that,
fltk version is not the problem here.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">When configured to compile without gui,
make was successful.</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Any suggestion?</font>

It looks like you were not able to compile one of the libraries of gmsh,

libGlshFltk (the GUI) for which the<br>
sources are in gmsh/Fltk. Go into that directory and try to make the <br>
library. Perhaps you have a very old<br>
version of fltk ??<br>
