[Gmsh] predicting parameterization

Hello,

Is there a deterministic way to predict
what the parameterization of geometric
entities will be given a ".geo" file ?
For example, if I provide a square
defined by a certain loop of lines,
can I predict where Gmsh will align
the two parametric directions and
where the origin will be ?
