[Gmsh] Importing scalar field from Paraview to Gmsh

Hello everybody,
I'm trying to import a 3D scalar field from Paraview to Gmsh (this field
would be used as background size field).
I've found that only .pos file can be read by Gmsh so I'm thinking about
write a .csv to.pos converter.
But before to start I would be sure I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel.
Is there already a tool like that?
