[Gmsh] Problem building gmsh-2.8.5 on FreeBSD

I'm getting a problem building gmsh-2.8.5 on FreeBSD-10.0.  You can see
the error at the bottom of this web-page:

My guess is that the problem lies with FreeBSD rather than gmsh.  But if
anyone else has seen a similar problem with other systems, I would be
grateful to hear about it.

The errors appear in the build of Mesh/meshGFace.cpp, and look like the
kind of obscure C++ errors that leaves me feeling helpless!
