[Gmsh] desired point distribution read from file

Hello gmsh users and developers,

I have a desired point distribution stored in an ascii file (e.g., 17
Legendre Gauss-Lobatto (LGL) points).  How do I read this file and create a
line with exactly this point distribution on it?  For example, how would
you generate a 3D Hex LGL element?
