The good news is that by setting a negative "Target visualization error"
(instead of zero, that I was using) I obtain a perfect vector plot.
My first impression was that the refinement of the visualization might be based
on the first component of the vector, but in that case the first element would
also have the same problem.
Clearly there is something that is not working as it should. I will try to
look into the code, but not right now...
