[Gmsh] uninstall gmsh

Hi all!
If I need to recompile gmsh with another options or if I need to install another version of gmsh, have I to uninstall existing gmsh executables and libraries or it is possible to install new version just over the previous one?
I didn't find 'uninstall' target in the makefile, therefore I'm asking.
My OS is Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
