Hi Vymazal,

FWIW, I had problems with the open-source radeon driver when gmsh is
compiled with osmesa (off-screen rendering) on my thinkpad t43 notebook
which has an ati radeon x300 display card. Maybe you can try compiling
gmsh from source with the configure option --disable-osmesa and see if
it works for you.

Don't know if it's related or not.
