[Gmsh] Meshing an extruded object

Hi 
 
I am novice and may be asking a simple question. Apologies in advance.
 
I have drawn a 2d object which is tear-drop shaped and I have extruded , via rotation, this object about 4 times to obtain a 3d object. The object is shaped like a lightbulb
 
When I try and mesh the newly created 3d object, Gmsh crashes ...what I am doing wrong ?
