hi,
yes i have tried with the document. But again to remind you i hav imported
the geometry made in proe in STEP format. Hence i dont finde the surface
definition as per the syntax. Also i dont have the id and password to
access the second link you sent me.

have you tried reading the manual at
http://geuz.org/gmsh/doc/texinfo/gmsh.html ?
In the tutorials, there are examples..
At http://geuz.org/gmsh/wiki/FrontPage there are some further,
self-sustained geo files.
Your questions are not very concrete, I have to state. The reason that
there is a manual probably is that the developers don't want to explain
things over and over again.
Still, I wish you good results with Gmsh,
