Hi,

I did have more than one copy of cygwin1.dll on the machine, so I removed all of
them except one, and then rebooted.  Unfortunately, I'm still getting the same
behaviour.  Unless you have any other suggestions, I'll try compiling it from
the source code.  Or, more likely, I'll just try it on a different machine.
