[Gmsh] Pre-defined nodes

Hi,

I'm sorry if this question sounds like something that could be
answered by a "RTFM", but I really couldn't be sure after I did read
the manual... I hope someone has the time to answer this. :)

Can gmsh build a mesh on a *given* set of nodes or does it always
create its own? Could it generate a mesh on a given set of nodes
together with definitions of domain boundaries maybe? The intention is
to use gmsh to generate a mesh over meshfree (i.e. point-based)
results, for visualisation purposes.
