[Gmsh] Fwd: Accepted gmsh 1.56.3-2 (i386 source) and a PATCH

Dear Gmshers,

I received a bug report for 1.56.3 on debian amd64/gcc4 [1].
The patch applied cleanly to 1.56.3 and I uploaded the new debian package. It 
should be on your preferred mirror any time soon.

However the patch does not apply cleanly to 1.58. I did it by hand and 
hopefully I did not miss anything hopefully (see patch-callback)
Unfortunately my emacs cleans the spaces at end of lines so that there are a 
lot of "dummy" + -. The main issue was to fix conversion of 'data' to long 
and then assign it to an int.
now data is converted to a long and assigned to a long.

I have tested the patch on i686 and it works ok (should be fine on 
amd64/gcc4.0 too)

gmsh-1.58 debian package is almost ready to be uploaded. More news soon.
