GMSH with linux and OpenGL

Hi,

Could you give me some additional information, e.g.: 

- what is the exact error message?
- does gmsh find libGL.so (try 'ldd gmsh' to see if the library loader
  knows where to look for libGL)? 
- what is the version of Mesa?
- do other OpenGL programs work?
