I am getting a "[0]PETSC ERROR: Out of memory ... Memory requested 1181331276" message when I attempt to solve a 3D mesh with many vertices on my Windows XP 64-bit machine.<br><br>Although this is a large amount of memory, it is not close to the hardware or OS limit on this machine. <br>
<br>What determines this memory limitation? <br><br>Is there a way around it? (E.g,. by setting appropriate command line options, obtaining a version compiled for 64-bit OS, ...)? <br><br>John V.<br><br>
